The ten NEWEST aircrafts of GARUDA INDONESIA

Until May 2012, Garuda Indonesia will get the newest ten aircrafts to strengthen their fleet. The latest information which received from Standard Chartered on Wednesday (February 2, 2011) indicates, the Standard Chartered and Garuda Indonesia already signed a cooperation contract sale and lease back transaction of four Boeing 737-800 Next Generation (NG).

In essence, as an explanation of Standard Chartered CEO Tom Aaker, they will helps Garuda Indonesia to get and lease the planes through the Pembroke Group Limited, a subsidiary of Standard Chartered, which is engaged in leasing, financing, and management planes.

On the second transaction, such cooperation to fruition six series of the same plane. The planes are scheduled to be delivered in the period starting from December 2011 to May 2012.

Indeed, ten aircrafts were part of a total of 25 Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft that have been ordered by Garuda Indonesia to the aircraft manufacturer, Boeing.

According to Satar, CEO of Garuda Indonesia in 2011, it will get delivery of 12 new planes from Airbus and Boeing. In 2015, Garuda Indonesia will have a total fleet of 153 aircraft consisting of Airbus A330 series, Boeing 737-800 NG, and Boeing 777-300 Extended Range (ER).
