January 2011, Garuda Indonesia Jakarta-Malang twice a day

So far, Garuda Indonesia flight only once a day from Jakarta to Malang. The flight schedule is departing from Jakarta (GA-290) at 7:10 pm and arrive in Malang at 8:40 pm. The same plane will return to Jakarta (GA-291) at 09:15 hrs. However, starting January 1, 2011, the frequency will be increased to twice daily using a B737-300, capacity 110 seats, comprising 16 business class seats and 94 economy class seats.

Vice President of Corporate Communications Garuda Indonesia, Pujobroto, said on Sunday (05/12/2010), route from Jakarta to Malang and vice versa that had closed since last November 30, due to the eruption of Mount Bromo, opened again since Sunday morning.

Previously, the Garuda Indonesia flight to Surabaya, but divert passengers from Malang still doing reporting passengers on Abdul Rachman Saleh Airport, then transfer bus by Garuda to Juanda Airport, Surabaya, to fly to Jakarta. While, passengers who fly from Jakarta, transfer by bus to the terminal Arjosari Malang.
