Garuda Indonesia postponed the reopening of Semarang-Singapore route. The possibility to reopen the route was even smaller with the lack of market demand and rising world oil prices.

As of June 1, 2009 Garuda Indonesia freeze of Semarang-Singapore route which took place according to plan until October 24th. However, until now there has been no sign of that route will be opened again.

Currently, Kokoh said, Garuda Indonesia to strengthen the focus on domestic routes. Semarang-Jakarta route for example, are now become nine daily flights, up from six flights per day.
